#Waterhappy
Professional Aquatic Training for Life.
Water Happy people are people who are happy in water.
This positive approach to being in water listens to the time and ways people need to form a good relationship with water.
Feeling seen, listened to and in turn respected for your choices, is often enough to make one feel safe whatever your age.
Water itself listens, reflects and therefore communicates what it is we are feeling. Water can teach us to listen to ourselves and our emotions.
In order to use it as a reference point within ourselves we must first be able to recognize what feeling happy feels like. For children and non-verbal communicators, feeling happy is usually unfiltered, natural and painfully apparent when not.
Being #waterhappy for parents and educators is not as straight forward or as easy as it first appears. Committing to such an approach requires that we cultivate our presence in water and that we allow for time and space in ourselves and in another.
Most learning environments ‘impose’ a certain method or technique to be learnt within a certain time frame. Usually if you don’t fit within this time frame a label is applied.
The #waterhappy approach says, love water and you will want to learn how to swim.
Fall in love with the sensation of floating, the underwater silence or the feeling on your skin and you will swim.
Learning here is organic, intrinsic to each individual and unfolds from within; As we learn to sit, listen and feel water we are forming a life-long relationship to water as a way of the heart.
We aim to be #waterhappy any day as a way of living life itself.
LEARNING THROUGH TRANSMISSION (LTT) is a #waterhappy approach in water and uses human resonance for teaching and learning in water.
It has the potential to positively impact on communication between adults, babies and young children, as well as people who primarily interact in a non-verbal way.
As well as engaging the cognitive, emotional and imaginative capacities of those involved, transmission learning consciously uses our body’s energy to reach a deeper sense of connection and understanding.
When immersed in water, as we soak, we open up and become physically predisposed to listening. We listen in the conventional way through our ears as well as receiving information through our skin and the fields of our human energy.
Because of this, non-verbal communicators like babies or people living with a disability are often able to communicate much more clearly when in water.
Water accelerates our receptive capacity, our sensory perception is strengthened and resonance with other humans beings in a therapeutic, educational or social relationship is greatly enhanced and more easily attained.
Tapping into the resonant qualities offered by the element of water, we can evolve as human beings through training, a positive predisposition and ultimately as a personal choice.
Our view of human beings will continue to be limiting unless we recognize and incorporate energetics in our education and therapy systems. The new generation is demanding that we do. Water is the ideal environment to introduce this reality to a broader spectrum of the population.
Who is it for?
LEARNING THROUGH TRANSMISSION is for PARENTS who wish to dive deeper into their role in supporting grounded, independent and conscious human beings.
It is also aimed at EDUCATORS and AQUATIC PROFESSIONALS who want to become more conscious of their role as ‘transmitters’ and more effective in their way of working.
Ultimately it is for those who actively seek new and conscious communication avenues that speak from the heart.
What environment is needed?
The kind of listening that LTT asks of us requires water to be heated to a comfortable temperature, preferably 34◦C with a quiet surrounding atmosphere. Learning to listen deeply requires silence at first and a conscious effort from all participants.
What are you signing up for?
LEARNING THROUGH TRANSMISSION can be taught as a 2 hour introductory workshop or as a certified 5 module course. Ideally participants will have attended an Introductory Workshop before deciding to commit to the Certified Course. Each module is approximately 5 hours long and all are divided equally into land and water time. Participants are required to complete all five modules and submit a short case study upon completion.
Module 1 – Thank you Water.
Module 2 – Love Like Water
Module 3 – Shine Bright Like a Diamond.
Module 4 – Are you #waterhappy?
Module 5 – The Power of Now
“These seas must be traversed with much compassion for self and other. Let’s open up to a new way, while holding ourselves and others ever so gently.”
We are currently experiencing an evolutionary leap that asks that we spend a lot more time observing and asking questions about how we meet the needs of the new generation, rather than applying what we do habitually or out of conviction.
This last module is organized in real time conditions so participants can apply what has been absorbed during the LTT programme. Ideally this will be planned around the group’s already existing work environment.
Each participant will be asked to write up and submit a brief case study of what they observed, how they interpreted the information and how they behaved accordingly.
They will show an understanding of group dynamics, water behavior and demonstrate an ability to consciously transmit.
